I created this website to test the market interest for an entrepreneurial idea that I had to advertise musicians via a network of TikTok influencers.

Amplify TikTok was an idea I had for an influencer agency that rolled out advertising campaigns for musicians wishing to promote their music via a network of TikTok influencers. At the time, TikTok was becoming very popular in the United States and western world and my research revealed that very few competitors in the market were offering such a service to musicians or brands.

Drawing on my design-thinking workflow from IQOS, I knew that I could gauge market interest, both from advertisers/musicians and from influencers, by shipping a website without much more than some well-written copy and two signup forms for influencers and advertisers interested in the service. For the purpose of quickly creating this minimum viable product, which needed to still look approachable and professional, I used Squarespace and customised one of their themes to match my design aesthetic.

The logo I designed for Amplify TikTok, seen above, was inspired by TikTok's iconic glitch-effect in an effort to further contextualise Amplify as being a service offered specifically for TikTok. For some base-level promotion of the service, I also created social media accounts which helped drive traffic to our website. The two sign up forms created, which were a very simple mechanism for testing, revealed that there was a decent amount of interest in the service. I decided, however, that more time would have to be spent developing the rest of the business and instead chose to focus my time on my academics and other client projects. Still, this was absolutely a worthwhile experiment and reaffirmed the value (and ease) of hands-on market testing for businesses.

A walkthrough of the website, which is no longer active, can be seen below.
